What methods do you use for handling and training dogs?

Wilke Canine Wellness is a fear-free certified training company that only uses the latest science and force-free methods to train dogs. Wilke Canine Wellness does not use or recommend the use of punishment or aversive equipment (E-Collars, Prong collars, Choke chains, slip leads) of any kind when training dogs. If you are currently using these methods but want to start using force-free training and equipment, we will be happy to work with you to help you transition.

Do you guarantee behaviour change?

Wilke Canine Wellness can not guarantee results as many factors affect training results such as the health status of your dog, genetics, environmentpast learning history and or trauma. Real behaviour change takes time and consistency, there is no quick fix and to sell that idea to people is highly unethical. Wilke Canine Wellness looks at the why behind your dog’s behaviour and all the factors in their life that can be contributing to your dog’s behaviour challenges. The only guarantee Wilke Canine Wellness can ethically make is that you will learn to better understand your dog’s needs, how to best set you and your dog up to succeed and work as a team.

What is your cancellation policy?

Wilke Canine Wellness will credit any cancellations with 72 hours notice and you may use those credits towards any service offered. If you cancel with less than 72 hours notice of any service that service is charged as is. Wilke Canine Wellness does not offer refunds for prepaid services. If the cancellation is due to a medical emergency or other last minute unforeseen circumstance that prevents you from attending a session, class or workshop it may be credited for one last minute emergency cancelation only.
